Hi,

I have this stupid problem. I have two computers ..one
desktop and other laptop. Both have winxp prof installed
on both the machine and are connected via netgear
wireless router. My problem is from my desktop, I can
ping to the laptop and can even do "Remote desktop
connection", but the other way around, Laptop is not able
to do ping to my desktop...it returns saying "Request
timed out". I have firewall on bothe the machines turned
off.

Any pointer will greatlt appreciated.

Do you have a firewall on the laptop...the one that can't
be pinged? Can that machine ping itself? I ran into the
same problem, and I resolved it by turning off the
firewall Norton provided.
