HI! I need a help to set up my home networking. I have 4 xp machine 3 are
running win xp pro with sp2 and the other one runing win xp home edition. I
have also ADSL modem with one port and an fast ethernet switch with 5 ports.
I need to setup homenetworking which I want any machine can connect to the
internet without the interference of the host computer. I have also a cd
setup here from my ISP. My wories is I don't know how to setup home
networking. I am not sure also if I got everything I need. Please
help..thanks a lot.

What make and model ADSL modem is it? If it's a new model, and it provides NAT
routing too, the switch will give you what you need. If it's just a plain modem
(bridge), you'll need a NAT router to replace the switch. In either case, hold
off on running any CD from your ISP - if you have multiple computers, running
ISP software won't help you, and it might hurt you in some way.

assuming he ISP assign only public IP to you, you may need to add one router or setup Windows ICS.
