Home Network with Linksys phoneline network adapters

I have just purchased a new computer and want to be able to access the files
from my old computer and also share a printer using a home network. I have
a cable modem, a 2wire home portal and Linksys phoneline USB adapters, one
for each computer. Both computers have XP Home. I have run the network
wizards on both computers but so far have had no luck in getting the
computers to communicate with each other.
They both have good internet connections. Does anyone have any suggestions
to help?

Hi Wendy,
You can consider many types of network configuration. I suggest that you do
the following. You can get a network hub or swich (which is a box that
conects computer thogether). Connect the main computer (Host) to the
internet and to the other computers on your network throught the hub or
swich configure this computer as host in the network wizard. Then configure
your other computer on your network as connected to the host. You can also
set up wireless newtork hovever this might be more expensive. You can email
me at (e-mail address removed) You can also visit www.microsoft.com for more
information, or go to Start menu Help and Support and click Networking and
the Web this is helpful.

A good article on how to setup file sharing with XP Home can be found here:
