I set up a home network between my two pc's using the xp pro wizard. All
went well until yesterday when it stopped working. I've tried to fix it by
applying addresses & subnet to each machine which brings the connection back
on, but now I cannot access the internet through the network. I have one
hooked up to broadband & the other accesses the web thru the network.

I was thinking about removing the entire network setup and starting again
but I cannot find how you do this. Equally I would be happy to activate the
internet access again.

Can anyone help??

Please re enable DHCP on the second computer (the one not directly connected to
the internet). Do you have internet service there?

With internet service hopefully working for both computers, provide ipconfig
information for each computer.
Start - Run - "cmd". Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the command
window - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in Notepad, copy and paste into your next post.
Identify operating system (by name and version) with each ipconfig listing.

How do you connect the two computers?

How does the first connect to the broadband modem? What brand and model modem
is it?

Please provide details what "stopped working" yesterday?

Cheers,
Chuck
