Home network set up difficulties

I have 2 desktop computers in my home both running WINXP Home with service
pack 2. Upstairs PC is connected to internet via cable modem and D-link
Wireless router DI-524. Down stairs PC has a USB wireless adapter.
Both computers can access internet.
To enable file/printer sharing I set up MSHOME On Downstairs pc. I can see
Home network computerand shared folders.
Here is the problem: I have tried so many times but I can not see MSHOME
network on upstairs PC. The my network places window does not show anything.
No home network. What am I douing wrong? Do I need another wireless adater
for the upstairs PC?

If both computers have Internet access, then a physical problem is unlikely.

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this
article with an open mind.

For more direct help, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely (download browstat!):
