Home Network Problem

I have a home network tha consists of 4 computers. The network works fine
except for on system. All on the network are using XP Pro and have file and
printer sharing enabled. One system can see all the other and share files but
the other systems connot see it, but can use the printers connexted to it. I
have tried pretty much everything I can think of but cannot get the others to
see that system. Any Ideas.

Things I tried:
Reseting up the home network
changing group policies
configuring norton fire wall to allow the ip address of the other computers

Thanks for getting bact to me Robert,

The error is stated as follows "\\comouter name, is not accessible. You may
not have permission to use this network resorce. Contact the administrator of
the server to find out if you have access permissions. Access is denied". All
the systems are set up as simple file sharing. I will try the suggestions on
your web sites and will let you know how it goes. One question befor I start
how do I verify that both the share permissions and the NTFS partition
permissions are correctly configured for individual user or group access?

I have tried the following except the **ones

1) make sure no any firewall blocks the LAN traffic. [done and it does not]

2) make sure you have created the same workgroup, and the same username on
w2k/xp for logging on a remote computer. [done and they do]

3) check user's rights. [still need to do]

4) you may want to enable guest account on w2k/xp. [done on the problem
computer, not the others]

**5) if you are using simple file sharing, you may try to disable it and
re-share the drive manually. [still need to do]

6) if it is mixed OS (win98, NT, ME and W2K/XP) network, enable NetBIOS over
TCP/IP. [I am not]

7) make sure the Computer Browser service is started if all computers are
w2k/xp. [It is]

8) stop Computer Browser service on win9x, ME and NT if this is a mixed OS
network. [N/A]

**9) cache credential by using net use \\computername\share /user:username
command (it is better to have the username logon shared computer). [how do I
do this?]

10) if you have tried enabling netbios over tcp/ip but doesn't work, you may
try to load netbeui (loading netbeui may slow your network).

11) Make sure the server service is running. [it is]

**12) If you can see the share in Network Neighborhood but not access it,
this issue may be resolved by verifying that both the share permissions and
the NTFS partition permissions are correctly configured for individual user
or group access. [how do I do this?]

How do I do number 12?
