You should create a share on the server first. For example:
\\server\homefolder. You can change the share name to \\server\homefolder$.
Then, you can point the user home folder to the
\\server\homefodler$\username
We can't set the home folder to the \\server\homefolder$\username$. If so,
the system will create the username$ folder under the homefolder$ share.
You also can manually create the \\server\username$ share first. Then, set
the home folder to \\server\username$ folder. The system will give you a
warning window about the folder is exist. You can click OK. It also works.
But, you should manually create the folder.
