I need to upgrade from Home Basic to Home Premium because certain software
and certain hardware will not work.
That alone is extraordinary.
So I go to the Windows Anytime Upgrade site and click to order the upgrade.I
get two choices, both for £58.03
1. Windows Anytime Upgrade-Home BasicN to Home Premium SP1
2. Windows Anytime Upgrade-Home Basic to Home Premium SP1
How am I supposed to know which one I should get? What is BasicN?????
So I got to Amazon and the only upgrade of a simiar price is 'Microsoft
Windows Vista Home Basic Edition (Upgrade) (PC) ' which I think is to upgrade
from XP to Home Basic.
Windows Anytime Upgrade Vista Home Basic to Vista Home Premium is about £80.
So now I'm even more confused. Why is it so much cheaper on the Windows
Anytime Upgrade site? Am I looking at the wrong software there?
So here I am with an OS that is a slow version of XP, seems to feature the
same bugs and impossible to upgrade without detailed knowledge of how MS have
packaged their products.
