Hi,

I'm trying to publish a hit counter on a web sever that allows FP server extensions, yet all i get is the text 'hit counter' shown. Is there something else i need to do to get it shown?

Many thanks for any help,

Dave

Make sure your are publishing to the server via FP's http mode.

Are the extensions installed for your account on the server.
Allowed and installed are two different things.
Have your host check them / install them..

Hi,
Howdy.

This is generally an indication that the FP Server
Extensions are absent.

Are you viewing your page in Preview mode, or directly
from a disk-based Web? if so, that's the problem. The
server extensions are never present in those cases.

Otherwise, can you open the published site directly in
FrontPage? For example, can you choose Open Web (or, in
FP2003, Open Site) from the File menu, enter your site's
http:// address, click Open, and then work on the site?

If not, then the extensions are absent. You or your host
may need to specifically apply them.
