Hit Counter

PapaBear

I am trying to reset my hit counter in Frontpage to 3500 hits but it
won't update on the web page after I upload it? Is there a secret to
doing it?
Thanks in advance

Actually Steve, I too have wondered how to reset it live.

The only way that I have found is to open the page
_private/index.html.cnt

It will look something like this:
FPCountFile 00000000042

Alter it (in the case given) to
FPCountFile 00000003499

However, you have to do it on your local copy and then republish it.

Is there another way?

Open the live site and do the same thing.
File->Open Site and type in the URL for the live site.

Open the page with the hit counter.
Double click [Hit Counter].
Reset the count.
Save the page.
