History will not clear

When I click on "clear history" it does not clear. I have
to delete each individually. Also, whenever I open a
doucument or picture with another program it shows up in
the History on Explorer. Is there a setting to eliminate
this?

Hi,
The IE History will include files opened from your computer. I don't believe
there's a way to stop this.

As far as History not clearing:
With no IE windows open, try it from Control Panel> Internet Options>
General> Clear History.

Or, you might need to delete the damaged History folder- a new one will be
created on restart.

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP.
