History URLs Do Not Work; URLs include unnecessary Prefix...

C

Charuteiro

All the History URLs contain the prefix "uol.com.br@";
e.g.,"uol.com.br@http//google.com". This prefix is not
necessary and prevents use of the History feature.

Somewhere there must be a reference to an old ISP, e-mail
address, logon, cookie or homepage that
inserts "uol.com.br". I can not find the reference. Help!

Thanks for any advice.

I haven't seen this one asked in a long time:

<title>KB193278 - History Folder Does Not Contain Web Pages</title>

<quote>
This behavior can occur if your user name contains a number sign (#) or an
at sign (@).

I suspect it was more of a problem with Win9x users who didn't
understand why they were being asked to logon and then chose
to use their complete E-mail address instead of just their userid.

<title>KB137361 - Save Password Check Box Is Unavailable</title>

<quote>
This behavior can occur if you are not currently logged on to Windows.
If you click <strong>Cancel</strong> in the logon dialog box that appears
when Windows is starting, your password cache list file is not opened, and
your passwords cannot be saved.
