Program name: Index.dat Suite
Version: 2.6.5
Release Date: 03-09-2004
Licence: Freeware
Homepage: http://support.it-mate.co.uk/?mode=Products&p=index.datsuite
Download:
http://support.it-mate.co.uk/?mode=Products&act=DL&p=index.datsuite
History:
http://support.it-mate.co.uk/?mode=Products&act=History&p=index.datsuite

Overview

Index.dat Suite is a rather unique program that allows you not only to
delete the index.dat files, temporary internet files, temp files, cookies
and history, but it also allows you to view the index.dat files on your
system.

Index.dat Suite's current features include;

- View and delete index.dat files
- View and delete Temporary Internet Files (TIF)
- View and delete Cookies
- View and delete History
- View and delete Temp files
- View and delete Recent Documents
- Auto-generation of batch file to assist in deleting the index.dat files
in DOS.
- Optional add to RunOnce registry key
- Optional deletion of swap file (9x users only)
- Optional defrag after file deletion
- Full application logging

Updates

- Added: Toggle file generation prompt (see Notes)
- Added: "Visited" and "view-source" support to the extraction routine

- Modified: Toolbar icons
- Modified: Batch file generation routine (see Notes)
- Modified: View > Application Log menu

- Misc: Updated Help file
- Misc: Other minor modifications

Note: This release also includes all updates since 2.6.1 beta

Notes:

I've now added an option to disable/enable the prompt that is shown after
generating the batch file. This is nothing more than an effort to make
things easier for those of you that already know what the prompt is going to
tell you.

I've also made a minor modification to the NT/2000/XP/Server 2003 file
generation routine. Put simply, the "CD" command now points to the parent
folder containing the sub-folder you want to delete.

hehe, thankyou ;o)

Btw, I should've also mentioned, the new help file is included as standard
in the Full and Basic install packages (will only needed to be downloaded
seperately by those using the "No-install" package, or those updating the
program using the internal update facility).

The full install executable. But I just tried again and it downloaded
so fast that it seemed instantaneous.

Man, I sure love this fiberoptic connection!

Thanks, Steven. And glad I didn't screw anything up.
