Overview

Index.dat Suite is a rather unique program that allows you not only to
delete the index.dat files, temporary internet files, temp files, cookies
and history, but it also allows you to view the index.dat files on your
system.

Index.dat Suite's current features include;

- View index.dat files
- Delete index.dat files
- View and delete Temporary Internet Files (TIF)
- View and delete Cookies
- View and delete History
- View and delete Temp files
- View and delete Recent Documents
- Auto-generation of batch file to assist in deleting the index.dat files in
DOS.
- Optional add to RunOnce registry key
- Optional deletion of swap file (9x users only)
- Optional defrag after file deletion
- Full application logging

Updates

- Added: Clear Batch File Generation Log when exiting program

- Modified: Batch File Generation routine (see Notes)
- Modified: Inclusion/exclusion options (see Notes)

- Misc: Updated Help file
- Misc: Other minor modifications

Notes:

Due to an overwhelming amount of requests, the batch file generation routine
has now been modified. Unlike previous versions, all items TICKED, are now
included in the generated batch file.

In an effort to make things easier, the batch file generation routine has
now been updated to allow full logging (so you can see exactly what the
generation routine is doing). This log is now stored in a seperate file
(default bfglog.log)

For those wishing to download the new help file, the filename is;

The zip download had a 2.6.0.0 version, is it correct now?

Steven,
Two things I noticed:

1. Clicking on the big white "Index.dat finder" button doesn't
do anything. In order to actually do a search, I have to
click on where it says "Find" to the right of the
"Search For:" field.

2. The start menu shortcut to the readme uses this command line:

"C:\Program Files\Index.dat Suite\readme"

and it should be:

"C:\Program Files\Index.dat Suite\readme.txt"

But I'm using version 2.6.0.

John,
It's actually meant to be like this (the "Index.dat Finder" button is mean
for when you've got other windows open in front of the main IDFinder window)

I'll sort it out for the next full release )

But I'm using version 2.6.0.
