Does Windows XP keep a history of what's installed IN ADDITION to only those
programs that can be viewed in the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control
Panel? If so, how do you access that complete history?

Jack

Depending on what is meant by history. There are plenty of things that don't display in A/R P. You'll find them under here
Type regedit in Start Run and look under here.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

But only programs that put themselves here are shown. While that is most it's not all.

OK -- I installed an older program that didn't install thru the A/R P -- now
I want to uninstall it, and I'm not sure of all it installed -- or changed,
and, it doesn't have an uninstall feature.

Maybe it just need the files deleted. Certainly for Dos that's true, and most simple windows utilities. Give some details.

The program is Serif DrawPlus 2.0, which does a good job with WMF files. I
installed it and later decided I wanted it installed elsewhere on the HD. I
attempted to uninstall it as best as I could without an uninstall feature or
A/R P. However, upon attempting to reinstall it elsewhere, I get a notice
that the program is already installed.

They also have there own newsgroups (news://news.serif.com/SerifDrawPlus) , searching their knowledge base only found 1 for ver 5. Try the FAQ. But as 2 is old.....
