History Folder Problems

My IE6 is set to retain history files for 20 days, yet no
history is kept beyond one day. The entry folders are
present, but they are all blank. For Instance:
Last Week
Monday
Today

But only Today will expand. The others are empty even when
I use Windows Explorer and look at Windows/History.

I use Windows ME on a Compaq Presario and my IE6 has been
updated.

I am only guessing but check your PC clock (Start=>Settings=>Control
Panel=>Date\Time menu option)
Has it the current date/time?
PC's use a small battery to keep an internal clock running when a PC is
switched off so that a correct time is maintained when it is switched back
on. Perhaps the battery needs replacing.
