History Problem

Darrell Haslam

I am having problems with the history function on IE6.

When viewing history by date, the folders are displayed (e.g Today, Monday,
Tuesday Last week, 2 weeks ago etc) but no information is displayed in the
folders i.e. sites are not shown. If I view history by "most visited" the
sites are shown correctly, but any other view is (at least partially) blank.

I have tried clearing the history, but this has had no effect.

I have tried the obvious such as checking the number of days of history to
record is not set to zero and that there is sufficient disk space available
and the size of the disk cache that IE is using.

I am guessing the problem is with corrupted indexes.

Please advise.

Darrell,

If you are using McAffee, right click VirusScan icon on the taskbar >
Properties > Internet filter > uncheck ActiveX controls. Click OK. You may
need to restart your computer.

If you are not using McAffee, others maybe able to help.

HTH.

General tab

To delete the downloaded objects:
