History folder is empty despite the setting in Options

Help:

When I click on the History button, the history folder is
empty, despite setting "Days to Store Pages in History" to
2 days (by clicking on Tools, Options and then the General
tab).

I upgraded to version 6 from version 5.

I suspect that IE is looking for the history folder in one
place on my hard drive and the folder is someplace else.

Index.dat File in the History Folder May Become Very Large
If a user name contains the number sign (#), regardless of where the number
sign appears in the user name, the Internet Explorer history file associated
with that user may become corrupted.

Your TIF index may be corrupt. Delete it and start a new one.
