Highliting in Search

When using Search to find a word or phrase in a file, is there any way
to make Search highlight the found word or phrase? I often use Search
to do just that and in a long document it takes a lot of eyeballing to
find the phrase.

Hello Jack,

If you're referring to using Edit/Find in Word or in IE6, the word(s) that
you are searching for *should* be highlighted in successions when each
instance is found.

What happens when the search finds the words you are looking for? Does the
insertion point just flash at the word that it has found?

I hope this is not too obvious an answer, but in most documents I know of,
if you hit the Ctrl and the F button together, you get a Search box that
allows you to find all the instances of the word or phrase, but only
sequentially, not simultaneously. It uses highlighting and will save you
hours of time.

Thank you. But I am extremely sorry I didn't make my question clear. I
am referring to using XP's Search that appears in the standard toolbar
in the folder view. For example, My Documents.

My suggestion:

Do your searches with Agent Ransack (free)

Download it from here:
http://www.mythicsoft.com/agentransack/default.aspx

When searching for text inside files, Agent Ransack is able to do a
preview of the lines the text was found in (just do a single click on
the found file), and the word/phrase will be highlighted as well.
