highlighting words or lines

Is there a way to yellow highlight a word in a Word document, so that it
calls the users attention to that word on the screen, BUT that the yellow
highlight does not show on a printed copy of the document?
 
Not that I've found... best workaround I know of is Select All, turn off
Highlighting, Print, then either Undo or close without saving.
 
In my Word 2002 at home, it is somewhat simpler. No need to select all.
You can temporarily clear highlighting. Tools/Options/View [unchec
Highlight]. Print, and turn it back on to show all the highlighte
areas again. I haven't tested this in full (in a large doc) though
but it seems what the OP asked for.
