Highlight folder in folder list for Outlook 2003 client

I want to be able to highlight a folder in Outlook 2003 client from the
folder list so that I would know that there are some filed items in the
folder that require my following up on it. At the moment I can use a
workaround of configuring the folder to show me the total number of items and
categorising a message using highlighting in order to achieve the above. The
would be a good feature for Outlook folder management.

If using a search folder it only helps me to sort the messages in the folder
but still does not enable the highlighting of the folder itself. I want to
highlight particular folders which have items in them for followup.

outlook doesn't support anything like this.

Can my request be considered for future product improvement in its next
release/patch/hotfix?
