High Ping

Iam Getting very high ping(Latency) when playing CS 1.6 ranging from 20 to 50.
Any Suggestions or help?

Hmm but my friends and some other players have pings ranging from 5 to 15 to 20.

That is a very, very, very low ping - are they joining a game on a local network?

lol, thats got to be local for a ping like that.
