Hi,
I have a server Compaq server running Windows 2000 server SP3 on a Compaq
DL360 G2.
The problem is that the server is very slow,.. when i look at the processes
tab in the taskmanager
i see that "System idle" is about 40%. When i check the "Performance" tab
and look at the graph
the CPU usage is 100%. Both indicators indicate different things.
I used Sysinternals' Procexp to find more information. I find in the process
tree that "Interrupts" take
60% CPU time. I'm not sure if this is a hardware problem. I tried booting
the machine with and w/o
keyboard, mouse, monitor hoping that these devices perhaps caused it.
Did anyone experience similar problems before? .. perhaps somebody has great
tips on how to determine
the cause?.
Thanks in advance,
- JW
