Hiding drive names in Windows Explorer

Lame question but I forget. How do you hide the full name of the shared
folder from showing up in Explorer/My Computer on a user's PC in a domain
environment. Folder$ created and shared on server shows up as Folder$ on
'servername' (X:). If it's mapped through a logon script, I don't want the
user to know what the folder/server names are.

Thanks.

Using $ after the name only hides it from My Network Places. You might want
to look at the possibilities with Group Policy looking at user
configuration/administrative templates/Windows components/Windows explorer -
hide these specified drives. The link below shows how to tweak that setting
beyond default settings. --- Steve

You can use TweakUI to hide drives.

TweakUI
[+] My Computer
Drives

Drives
[[Windows XP can hide drive letters. You hide them by setting NoDrives in
the key HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer,
but it's easier using the Tweak UI category Drives.]]

[[NOTE
Hiding drive letters in Windows XP doesn't prevent users from accessing
those drives through other means, including at the command prompt.
This setting hides only those drives in Windows Explorer, the common dialog
boxes, and so on. Thus, you can't rely on this as a security measure.]]

Tweak UI
This PowerToy gives you access to system settings that are not
exposed in the Windows XP default user interface, including
mouse settings, Explorer settings, taskbar settings, and more.

Version 2.10 requires Windows XP Service Pack 1 or Windows
Server 2003.
