Hiding application menus?

Is there a registry key that will allow me to completely hide all application
menus. File, Edit, View, Help. I want these all gone from all my windows.
I've seen it done, but after hours of searching the internet I have been
unable to figure out how to actually do this.

In case your wondering I have Objectbar that places all menus at the top of
the screen, and having menus in both places visually bothers me.

I don't have Intenet Explorer, I have Netscape. I know about the edit for
Windows Explorer, but there has got to be a way to remove every single menu.

Why? Not all programs are written to the same specification. Some will
ignore messages to hide the menu, or simply reinstate it immediately
after it has been removed.

I bought a Windows XP computer for school because a lot of the software I
need is only available on PC. I'm a long time Mac user and I'm not used to
having the menus within the windows.

I bet that you do have Internet Explorer.

F11 opens Windows Explorer or any folders in Full Screen.

In Full Screen (F11) the Menu Bar, the Address Bar and Links can be added or
removed.

Right click the top Toolbar and Select or UNSelect Menu Bar, Address Bar or
Links.

Hit F11 again to toggle back to Normal Mode.

Your fix works exactly as you said for Explorer, but not in Excel. I have
the EXACT same question Wallace has. Must be because I am also a Mac user
trying to get used to Windows.

I want to display an Excel file and don't want the menu bar to show at all.
"Full View" still displays the menu bar.

Right-click on the Menu Bar, choose "Customize," click "Toolbars," and
deselect "Chart Menu Bar."

Yeah! someone who understood what I was talking about! Thank you very much!
BUT when you close the Customize window, the menu bar pops right back up
again.
