I'm using my personal laptop at work. When I go into the
work's network, I see my laptop's workgroup listed under
the "Microsoft Windows Network" section of "My Network
Places|Entire Network."
Is there a way to hide my workgroup from being broadcast
over the network? Work uses a domain system and my
workgroup is only for my home network. I've got the
Guest account turned off on my laptop so random people
logging on aren't a problem, but even better is hiding it
so they don't even know they can try. With folders, you
can put a $ in front of the name to hide it, but that
doesn't seem to work with workgroups.
