Hide Subfolders of a Share

Is it possible to hide subfolders of a Share on Windows
2000 Server.
I.E:
I have shared folder called SHARE1 and about 100
subfolders.
I would like multiple groups to map to SHARE1 but I do not
want all the group to be able to see all the actual
folders.
I know I can block access so when clicked they receive
an "Access Denied". But I would like the folders hidden
unless permission is granted. Netware can do this....I
don't ever remember this being accomplished in MS world.

thanks,

You are correct, Netware does have the visible option on folders, but MS
does not. You can hide the folders by putting a $ at the end of the folder
name, but this will hide it from everyone even if you have access to it.

You can hide the folders by putting a $ at the end of the folder
name, but this will hide it from everyone even if you have access to it.

This hides the share, not the folders that are on that share.
