Hide message bar

Every time I open my Access 2007 application I get a message "Save your
changes to the server - Publish to SharePoint site"

My app has nothing to do with SharePoint and I certainly do not want users
publishing the application there.

How do I supress this message in code.

Hi Simon,
here are a couple of ways to hide the message bar and message alerts.

1. On the Database Tools tab, in the Show/Hide group, select or clear the
Message Bar check box.

2. Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Access Options.
Click Trust Center, click Trust Center Settings, and then click Message Bar.
Click the options that you want:

Show the Message Bar in all applications when document content has been
blocked
This option is selected by default so that you get Message Bar alerts
whenever potentially unsafe content has been disabled. The option is not
selected if you clicked the Disable all macros without notification option
on the Macros pane of the Trust Center. If you click Disable all macros
without notification, you won't get Message Bar alerts when macros are
disabled.

Never show information about blocked content
This option disables the Message Bar. You do not receive alerts about any
security issues, regardless of any security settings in the Trust Center.

Thanks for this Jeanette,

I did what you suggested and it made no differernce. I still kept on getting
the message bar offering to save the database to SharePoint. This has been
driving me crazy for days.

Finally in desperation I created a new database and imported all the forms,
queries etc from the problematic one and the problem was solved.

The origional database was created on Access 2003 and then moved to Access
2007 and saved as a 2007 project.

It appears that there must have been some 2003 legacy "stuff" in the DB
which caused havoc.

Note to self: NEVER open a 2003 DB in 2007. Always create a new DB 2007 and
inport all the objects.

cheers..

...Simon

I seem to remember that I too had that problem with the SharePoint message.
Can't remember what I did to get rid of it.
However I can open 2003 databases in 2007 without getting that type of error
