Hide completed tasks in Outlook Today

I cannot get the "customize Outlook Today" button to respond. I have tried
restarting my computer without success. I performed a repair without success.
Shoul I reinstall the software?
 
Version? There was a bug in earlier versions that was corrected with Office
updates. Visit Office Update and check.
