Hidden folders stay hidden

I recently created several pages in Front Page 2002, and placed them in
a folder that was inside another folder. The links to them work on the
web, but I cannot access them anymore from Front Page to make
corrections. The folder I put them in is missing. I thought I might have
accidentally put them in a "hidden" folder, so checked the option to
have the hidden folders show, but they still do not show. While the site
is open in front page, the original folder shows it contains 3 folders.
if I right click the folder and look at properties, it says it contains
15 folders. Is there another approach to getting to the files to do updates?

this is one of the files:
http://www.wickliffe-city.k12.oh.us/boe/activities_files/Fr_volleyball.htm

notice it is in the folder "activities_files"
this folder does not show up when I open the boe folder.

I just found out I can open the file if I paste the entire url in the
"open page" dialog box, but I can't understand where the missing folder is.
When I have the file open, it shows up, but I can't access the contents
(or copy them to a different folder) I may have to save-as to relocate
them but then I don't know how to delete the ones in the missing folder.
This is very strange.

Under certain circumstances FrontPage and Windows will hide folders when the
folder name ends in _files
(see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;252721 )
If you are running WinXP, try this (may also be available in other versions
of Windows):
Open WIndows Explorer and from the menu choose Tools - Folder Options
On the View Tab, scroll down to "Managing pairs of Web pages and folders"
Choose the option "Show both parts and manage them individually"
Click OK
