Hidden Files

Hi,
When I go Tools/folderoptions/view in win explorer, if i select Do not show
hidden files, it does so, but when i reboot my machine it reverts back to
displaying the hidden files in their translucent form. No matter how many
times i do this, the files will not stay hidden after a reboot. can anyone
help?

Go to the files and look at their properties and be sure they are selected
to be Hidden.

Yeah, sorry, forgot to mention that. The hidden box is ticked in the
properties section.
