Hidden Drive / Partition

I am creating a hidden FAT partition to hold a recovery
image, after removing the drive letter it is hidden in XP
and can be seen by a boot disk which is exactly what I
want however, when I restore the image XP see's the drive
assigns a drive letter and then asks me to re-start.

Is there any way to keep it hidden after imaging?

Daril,
As far as I can remember the 'hidden' recovery
partitions are usually created by changing the partition
table's partition-type byte. whenever you want to access
it, you need to reset this information.
As for your situation, the image on the recovery
partition must be having a drive letter at the time of
the backup procedure. Since the disk information is
stored with the system in this case, you need to setup
this up before imaging it.
