Hidden and Read Only Attributes

I'm working on a pc that was badly infected with spyware and other bugs.

The Windows folder has the attributes set to Read Only and Hidden. The
Hidden button is greyed out. I can turn off the Read Only, but it resets
again.

Any fix for this? Thanks.

I've run MSAS, Ad-Aware and SpyBot S&D and 2 AV programs so I'm fairly
certain it is cleaned up for the most part.

All folders show up as Read Only in XP. It is normal and cosmetic only. If
you want to you can use the attrib command to change it but there is no
reason to.

A little more info. XP thinks that the Windows folder is "protected
operating system" as the folder only displays when I uncheck the box to
display those types of files.
