HID-Compliant MouseMan Wheel prevents computer from going into standby

I have a Windows XP computer with a Logitech M-BA47
mouse. I have not changed anything, but recently a
message popped up when I tried to put it in standby
titled 'System Standby Failed.' It says:

The device driver for the 'HID-Compliant MouseMan Wheel'
device is preventing the machine from entering standby.
Please close all applications and try again. If the
problem persists, you may need to update the driver.

I have already closed all open windows and (tried to)
update the driver, but I couldn't find any driver for it.
