Hibernation ruined?

I tried the RC1 Candidate for SP1, ended up uninstalling it.
It broke my hibernation and did something to my PC.
It hangs every time I try the on button.
Reset button no longer works.
The BIOS doesn't go anywhere.
It doesn't shutdown either.
I power it off and back on a few times until it boots finally.

I did not install anything else.
Did not tweak or do anything except try the release candidate.
Hibernation worked fine and the PC booted fine before the SP1 package.

I just wondered what the best course is to repair this?
