Is there possible to short the total time of hibernation?

May user choose to hibernate just it's desktop state and running
applications not having to do entire system hibernation?

This should short the period of time of hibernation process.

Thanks

There is hibernation or standby. You can't choose what get's hibernated.

What ? Hibernation is not slow. Click to hibernate and go away. When you
want it back, it just takes 5-6 seconds.

That's a good idea - but I think there already is a compression routine doing
enough work that exbernation is actually quite fast (it's the hard drive
that's slow)
-- but if you wrote some code that did it better , eg read the highest used
address and only hibernate to that piont and exbernate accordingly - I'm sure
microsoft would buy it off you.
