hibernation disables keyboard

Hi,

I run Win ME and Win XP Pro on a dual boot machine. I am having problems
with hibernation in Win XP Pro. Whenever I use hibernate, it comes back
from hibernation with the keyboard disabled. Yet, while the boot up occurs,
I can still use the keyboard to enter the bios or activate the boot menu.
The problem does not occur when running Windows ME.

Do any of you have any idea how I can troublehoot this problem and fix it?

In case it is relevant, here are my machine specs:

Microstar ATX LX6 MS-6117 Mainboard, Celeron 466 mhz processor, 256 mb
memory,
