In the past couple of months, I have been unable to hibernate my XP
SP2 laptop.

I get the display of Preparing to Hibernate, but after a few seconds
the PC locks up (evident by the mouse stops responding). I then have
to turn off the laptop.

I know it is probably related to a driver, but is there any way to
trace events on shutdown like there is on startup?

TIA

Bootvis for XP on the MS site.

Event viewer might show what's happening. If you find a solution
independently, please post.

| Thanks for the reply, but Bootvis is applicable to startup, whereas I
| want to trace what happens as the laptop shuts down.
