Hibernate command?

I have a laptop and would like to know if there is a command I can click
with a mouse (or keyboard shortcut) to send the computer into the hibernate
mode. I realize that I can hibernate the computer using the power button
but I would like to do it similar to the "Standby" or "Turn Off" options
that I get when I click START/TURN OFF COMPUTER.

I don't know if I'm understanding your question correctly but... When the
shutdown screen is visible (Start> Turn Off), press Shift. The word Standby
will change to Hibernate.
