If you're referring to Hibernation, do the following:
First off, make sure it's enabled on your computer.
Go to Control Panel and double click Power Options.
Click on the Hibernate tab.
Put a check mark in the box next to "Enable Hibernation".
Click OK.
Now when you want your computer to Hibernate go to Start ->
Turn Off Computer.
When the Turn off computer box pops up, hold down the Shift
key.
This should cause the Standby button to change to Hibernate.
You can now click on that button and put your system in
Hibernation.
Good luck
