Hi I'm in trubble with Java...
I'm a student and as language of programming we use Java2, some days ago I'v
downloaded the last version of the sdk, 1.4.2.04, since the upgrade of
windows xp, my virtual machine doesn't work as before. What's app? Each time
that I try to start a programm or an applet, or also a common java istance
with a program that involvs java technology my screen became black and a lot
of tousand colours, not only this, all the applications runned before
appears under the current one. The most strange things is that this not
append always (but 9 times over 10s).... The screen below isn't forgotten,
in fact if I look for a button, passing over it with the mouse, it appears
and when I move the pointer the button disappears.... After closing the
application and refreshing of the screen the desktop come back as it was
before....
I've formatted the pc in order to know what windows's patch created the
problem... I'v installed before the Jvm and all the patch starting from roll
pack and sp1, but no one of them created the problem, soon after I've
installed also the gemes and the utilities that i use, like the java editor
and the dirvers plug in.... nothing important. For each installation I
controlled if the Jvm worked proprely, starting an application, no
problems.... After that all sw has been intelled, at the next reboot, the
jvm gives the same problem. I tought that was a problem of video card,
adjusting the refresh rate and sincronization the problem seemed to be
solved, but again in the next reboot the stuiation doesn't changed.
I tryed using microsoft's virtual machine, but I can't unistall the sun
version because I need the compiler.
What can I do???? Please help me, it's really urgent, because the next month
