Hi. I want to connect a DeskTop to a Laptop. How? How?

I want to share files from the desktop to the laptop. I have a USB cable and
none of the computer do not recognize the other. I do not want an Internet
connection, no. I just want to share files.

I HAVE READ ALL ARTICLES ABOUT IT SO HELP ME PEASE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO...
 
Using USB is not the way to go. You buy a crossover cable and connect the
NICs to each other.
