Hi, I am having a lot of trouble with some spyware on my
machine, that i can't seem to get rid of. There are four
culprits; CAX Proxy, Delfin, Downloadware and
NetworkEssentials.

These have all been identified by Spy Sweeper as being
Adware, except NetworkEssentials, which is down as s
System Monitor. My probelm is, that I select to completely
remove these spyware programs from within Spy Sweeper and
it effectively does this, as they are removed, but when I
do another sweep straight away it finds the same spyware
again, in the same location. So even though the results
show that 4 more files/traces of spyware have been
removed, effectively they haven't.

I have also tried this in Safe Mode, and still to no avail.

Has anyone had similar problems or know what these spyware
programs are capable of?

How do I remove these pesky spyware.

Thanks in advance!

Alex.

SpySweeper hasn't got the best reputation for being efficacious. Do the
following:

Remove spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy from
www.safer-networking.org and Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure
to update these programs before running them. These programs are free,
so run them both since they complement each other. It is best to run
antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe Mode. You may also want to
run CWShredder and HijackThis from http://aumha.org/freeware.htm.
Although CWShredder is no longer being updated, it will still clean
older variants of the CoolWebSearch malware. Please read the
instructions carefully. Also, make sure you've visited Windows Update
and applied all security patches. Do not install driver updates from
Windows Update. Make sure you are running a firewall and have a current
antivirus installed using updated definitions.
