Hi Folks! Why don't the "Control Panel" and "Printer" Folders rename themselves in the Start Menu?

I am trying to get cascading menus for Control Panel and Printers in my
Start Menu. They cascade but the folders don't rename themselves to simply
"Control Panel" and "Printers" . They stay "Control
Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" and
"Printers.{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D}" which makes my Start Menu
4 times as wide as it should be. I've followed the directions from this
Microsoft site:

many times, rebooted many times, but the "Control Panel" and "Printer"
folders just won't shorten to a reasonable length. Any ideas why they don't
rename themselves the way they should?

I didn't try the directions myself, but the bottom of the article states that the instructions are for WIN 9
and up to WIN 98SE and NT4. Perhaps it's not XP compatible
