hi there,

I think you may find useful a macro to auto expunge Outlook IMAP
folders.

the macro is available as free open source, and it was tested with
Outlook 2003. go here for more:
http://www.realpopup.it/realaccount/expunge.html

I'd like to post it on a free open source web site, but I don't know
which is the best place for it.

I get a lot of good stuff from www.sourceforge.net. It seems to be a
open-source programmers' haven. I think they use CVS for code
checkin/checkout so you'll have to figure that out (it's been a few
years since I used it but it wasn't difficult).

why? it's just a signature, everybody has got a signature. and it
serves freeware software. and one of them is outlook related.

I think it's a good signature, I'm sorry.

Feel free to post it at http://www.outlookcode.com/code.aspx, the code
sharing section of my site. There are a bunch of other macros there that use
CommandBars to execute various toolbar buttons to do things that Outlook
can't do programmatically through more direct means.

BTW, your macro will fail if the user has invoked the File | Work Offline
command, as they might if they want to delete IMAP message headers without
having the whole message come down automatically. You might want to check
the state of that command first.

sure I'll do it, thank you. however, I don't have the need to go
offline not to retreive msg body automatically: I just disable the
preview pane (Outlook 2003). I'll update my site and upload to your
one.
