HELP

hi this may be the wrong group im in if so sorry please
tell me where i should post for help?
had a major computer crash thanks to my system restore.
had to reinstall xp and lost most things, cant find my
anti virus disk to reinstal that but found its files on
computer under( cookies) when i did a search any ideas.
also since reinstalling if i go on line i keep getting
all these pop ups which say they are from messenger
service,or computer to you etc cant seem to get rid of
them with anti spyware or stop pop up ads ware any ideas

Hey mnm, right click My Comp, then click manage, services
and app's, services. This shows you and describes all
services and their status. Disable the one
called "messenger". it is not needed and it is not part of
your MSN Messenger chat thingamajiggy.
