HELP

i have two sets of speakers and when i try to hook up either one of them one
is a Harman/Kardon multimedia speaker system and the other is active speaker
model # S2-001 the computer says that there is no speakers hooked up.

So what exactly is the problem - are we supposed to guess ?

How do you connect them? Stereo 1/8 jacks do not normally list out speakers
in Device Manager.

I think your facts are slightly off. Maybe you could try installing drivers
for your onboard audio chipset or sound card. After the sound card tests OK
then connect speakers.

You mean 3.5 mm not 1/8 inch.

3.5 mm is metric. 1/8 is imperial. Both should be the same.
