I need help setting up my windows mail. I have vista/microsoft. What is my
server address STMP? and am I supposed to be using a POP3?

Are you trying to set up an MSN or Hotmail POP account in Windows Mail?
Use these settings:
http://mailcall.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!CC9301187A51FE33!49799.entry

Windows Mail's new account wizard is hard-coded to reject Hotmail/MSN
addresses since those formerly had webmail access only.
So, when you enter your email address initially, give it a fake one,
such as (e-mail address removed). After the account setup is complete, go back
and correct your email address.

Thank You!! this would seem to be the most obvious question, yet they
(Windows Mail) fail to explane this or even offer any advice on how to
find this information.

Err you find it, from the organisation that supplies your EMAIL! How does
Windows Mail KNOW what ISP you use?

Are you TOTALLY DENSE?

to windows mail" email thing they provide no way to contact them to ask
questions. Also, this is the most disfuntional way to provide "help" for
the windows mail users, a list of emails...are you serious, this is childs
play, dont you think with all the money they are making they could at
least set up a forum of some decent quality? A myspace page would be more
efficient then this list.
-Angry and sceptical.

Email existed long before there even was an Internet. If you don't have a clue
about the basics, it is best to attend a community college course in Internet
for beginners. Like Charlie says, these forums often assume the user has at
least a minimal computer proficiency and (for example) knows how to use the
Google search engine.
