I need to make a spreadsheet that will keep track of my inventory.

I want to be able to have a list of all my inventory with the total I have
in stock. I then want to have each cell have a formula that calculates if I
have dropped below a set min or above a set max.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Take a look at Conditional Formating under Format.

Cell Value is > Is Greater than -- Is Less than > chose your format color.
You can have up to 3 conditions.

Yes, using conditional is good advice so take it! I'm in a similar position
and use conditional formatting to make a cell turn red when the cell qty
falls below a certain number.
