Hi, Zahiar.

I don't know much about RAID, although both my IDE drives are running off a
HighPoint RAID controller; I boot from SCSI. But it seems to me you have a
3-step recognition problem:

1. Your BIOS must recognize the drive. Do you need to enable the RAID
controller in the BIOS? If you mention the make and model of your mobo,
your RAID controller and your HD, somebody here can probably help you with
this step.

2. WinXP must recognize the physical drive. Look in Disk Management to see
if the HDD is there. If not, you probably need to initialize the HDD before
you can go to the third step.

3. You must partition the drive before each volume on the physical HD can
be assigned a "drive" letter. Then you can format each volume and use it.
